Your SWAP Code
Your business’s SWAP Code is the key to receiving payments through SWAP.
|
| |
This part of the SWAP Code represents SWAP. *130*1313# is also the SWAP Direct Code that customers dial when they want to go straight to the SWAP menu to manage their Wallets or change their preferences. |
|
The last six digits identify your business. Customers dial the full 17 characters to reach your business’s payment screen. |
(When dialling the SWAP Direct Code
or a business’s SWAP Code,
the final
character is always #) |
Your customers will save your SWAP Code to their cellphones and dial it at no cost any time they need to make a payment to your business. Your SWAP Code is linked to your bank account so SWAP can allocate your payments directly to you. When customers dial your SWAP Code, they’re taken directly to your business’s customised payment screen. There, they can make a payment to you, look up your contact details or read any news or special offers that you’ve placed.
SWAP lets you choose how you’d prefer to be notified every time one of your customers dials your SWAP Code and makes a payment to you. You have the option of receiving SMS, fax or e-mail notification to your registered e-mail address.
SWAP payments to your business are added together and transferred to your registered bank account in batches. You use the online Merchant Console to set the batch transfer schedule to daily, weekly or monthly, according to your individual requirements.
To become SWAP-enabled, start by filling in the online Merchant registration form. Registering a profile is free and lets you preview the SWAP Merchant Console and download SWAP’s comprehensive Merchant Manual.
Apply online for your unique SWAP Code and for registration as a SWAP Merchant. When you receive your SWAP Code in seven to nine working days it will already be customised with your business info, linked to your bank account and set up with your notification options. All that’s left for you to do is promote it to your customers.
