Link your bank account to your SWAP Wallet
Get the most out of your SWAP Wallet by linking it to your bank account.
- Dial any SWAP Code
When prompted for your PIN press Answer/Reply,
type your PIN into the text entry field and press OK/Send.
- You'll reach the payment screen of the Business whose
SWAP Code you dialled.
- Press Answer/Reply and choose “SWAP” by typing 3
into the text entry field. Press OK/Send
(If you’ve used the SWAP Direct Code, *130*1313# you’ll
bypass this step and go straight to the SWAP screen).
- From the SWAP screen, press Answer/Reply and choose
“My Wallet” by typing 1 into the text entry field.
Press OK/Send.
- From the My Wallet screen, press Answer/Reply and choose
“My Profile” by typing 4 into the text entry field.
Press OK/Send.
- From the My Profile screen, press Answer/Reply and choose
“Link a Bank Account” by typing 3 into the text entry field.
Press OK/Send.
- The following screen will ask you to enter your
13 digit South African ID number
To continue, press Answer/Reply
Type your ID number (no spaces) into the text entry field
Press OK/Send.
- The next screen will ask you to enter your six digit
bank branch code
To continue, press Answer/Reply
Type the branch code (no spaces) into the text entry field
Press OK/Send.
- For authentication purposes, SWAP will process the information
you have submitted. You will either receive an SMS asking you
to contact the SWAP Customer Care Centre for manual authentication,
or asking you to dial a SWAP Code enter the answers to two authentication
questions directly from the authentication screen.
Remember – if you get disconnected at any time, simply dial the SWAP Code
again to pick up where you left off. It’s easiest to redial if the SWAP Code is
already saved to your cellphone contact list.
When you’ve linked your bank account, you can add any amount you choose to your SWAP Wallet using the Add Funds function – and use Bank my Wallet to transfer your Wallet balance to your bank account.
